Our Mission:

At Swainsboro Primary School, our mission is to teach, love, and academically challenge all students by providing personalized learning and meaningful experiences that prepare and inspire them for future success.

Our Vision:

Swainsboro Primary School will strengthen our community one student at a time by fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students grow through high expectations, innovative instruction, and strong school-family-community partnerships.

Our Beliefs:

  • Parents are the first and primary teachers. They are responsible for their children’s basic needs and values.
  • Schools provide a safe and positive, organized setting with clearly defined behavior expectations.
  • Effective character education enhances the academic program.
  • Knowledge and application of current technology prepares students for tomorrow’s world.
  • When the school climate is safe, and content is highly challenging, accelerated learning takes place.

 

HIGHLY QUALIFIED STAFF  

Certified staff at Swainsboro Primary School has been determined to be “Highly Qualified,” based on State and National guidelines. All paraprofessionals at Swainsboro Primary School also meet requirements for being “Highly Qualified.”

 

SCHOOL HOURS

School hours are from 8:00 until 2:45.

Students need to arrive on time because instruction begins promptly at 8:10.

Students eating breakfast at school should arrive by 7:45  a.m.

Dismissal for buses is at 2:45 p.m.

Dismissal for pick-ups is at 2:45p.m.

Students should arrive on campus after 7:30 a.m. and should be picked up before 3:00 p.m.

 

SUPERVISION OF STUDENTS DURING THE SCHOOL DAY

Students are under the supervision of the school staff during the regular school day. The school is not responsible for students on school grounds during any time other than the school day or during school-sponsored events after the school day. The school cannot be responsible for supervising students prior to 7:30 a.m. or after 3:15 p.m.
